The Africa Climate Summit 2023 started in Nairobi, Kenya on Monday 4th September. The summit will continue till 6th September, 2023. The theme of the summit is delivering climate-positive growth and finance solutions for Africa and the world. The focus areas are Climate Action Financing, Green Growth Agenda for Africa, Climate Action and Economic Development, Global Capital optimization.
Africa Climate Week (4th-8th September) has also been organized in parallel with the African Climate Summit. It will provide a platform for policymakers, practitioners, businesses and civil society to exchange on climate solutions, barriers to overcome and opportunities realized in different regions, leading to the first global stocktake concluding at COP28 in UAE in December of this year.
