Heavy fog/smog over the past few days has severely disrupted the air traffic in Pakistan. On Thursday 4th January, 2024 most of the flights were either cancelled or rescheduled. 24 flights were cancelled and more than 100 were rescheduled. A total of 88 flights have been cancelled in three days.
On the other hand, most of the motorways in the country also remained closed for the most part of the day during past one week.
The flight disruptions and closure of motorways has intermittently continued since. On January 25, around 23 flights were cancelled and some were rescheduled due to dense fog.
