At least 22 people were reported killed, including 10 of a family, in the north-western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province of Pakistan. Heavy rains have been battering the province for a couple of days, triggering landslides and flooding.

The local emergency service Rescue 1122 reported that ten members of family were killed in the early morning Tuesday in Kohat district when the storm water entered into the basemen of a house where the family were sleeping.

Many roads and bridges were also washed away by the surging torrents in the province. Thousands of tourists were stranded in the popular tourist destinations of Khagan, Narran and beyond. Tourists are being stopped from entering into these valleys due to risk of flooding and land sliding.
