The Guardian has reported that at least seven people (including two holidaymakers) have been reported killed due to heavy rain in the north west of Turkiye. Severe storms have triggered flooding in Greece and Bulgaria as well. Istanbul has seen one month’s rain in just six hours, turning roads and streets into stream. The Metro station of Istanbul has been inundated.

Media reports quote six deaths in Greece as well. Greece has witnessed some of worst wildfires in its history in the recent weeks.
