Heavy rains in Dubai and Abu Dhabi yesterday disrupted the life again in already battered emirates of UAE. The rains started from the emirate of Al Fujairah and soon spread to other emirates and neighboring areas of Saudi Arabia.
Authorities told that an alternate plan has been put in place for passengers at Dubai airport. A yellow alert has also been issued for Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Educational institutions were advised to hold online classes for next two days and private offices staff were asked to work from home.
The rains spread to the neighboring Saudi Arabia also. Riyadh, Alkharaj, Alqaseem, Damam and other areas saw heavy rains. Many roads and underpasses were closed due to flooding. The authorities have advised the people not make unnecessary travels. Rains for next two days have also been predicted in these areas.
